APBB1(Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family B member 1) is a member of the Fe65 protein family. It is a connective protein located in our nucleus. It interacts with amyloid precursor protein (APP), transcription factor CP2/LSF/LBP1 and low density lipoprotein receptor related proteins in Alzheimer's disease. APP acts as a cytoplasmic anchor site that can prevent nuclear translocation of gene products. The encoded protein may play an important role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.
